Ambassador Faraz Zaidi Meets Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Đurić

Pakistan’s Ambassador Faraz Zaidi met with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Marko Đurić, to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral relations and expand practical cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, Ambassador Zaidi highlighted Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to build practical and institutional linkages with Serbia. These include engagement with business institutions, outreach beyond Belgrade, and the upcoming visit of a delegation from the Institute of International Politics and Economics to Islamabad. He also referred to the planned signing of a cooperation agreement with the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad.

The Ambassador welcomed the progress made towards reopening Serbia’s Embassy in Islamabad, noting that the move would provide fresh momentum to bilateral cooperation and diplomatic engagement.

Ambassador Zaidi emphasized that Pakistan values Serbia as an important partner in the Balkans and looks forward to expanding economic engagement, institutional cooperation, and political dialogue in the coming period.

Foreign Minister Marko Đurić appreciated the strong potential for further strengthening bilateral ties and reaffirmed Serbia’s interest in deepening political dialogue and cooperation with Pakistan.
