The discussions primarily focused on aligning Pakistan’s Grade-12 qualification with the UK university entry framework, as it is currently not considered equivalent to a pre-university (Level 3) qualification in the UK.
As a result, Pakistani students are required to complete an additional foundation course before gaining admission to UK universities.
IBCC is actively pursuing this matter with ECCTIS and has provided comprehensive documentation, including reforms and measures taken to improve examinations and assessment standards.
The delegation expressed hope that Pakistan’s Grade-12 qualification will soon be accepted on par with UK Level 3 qualifications, allowing students direct admission into the first year of UK undergraduate programs.
