Pakistani Troops May Join International Force in Gaza: Israeli Media

An Israeli newspaper has claimed that Pakistani troops could be part of an international peacekeeping force expected to be deployed in Gaza after the ongoing two-year conflict.

According to a report by the Times of Israel, Israeli defense officials briefed lawmakers that a multinational force may be formed to help stabilize Gaza, and Pakistan’s military contingent could be among those participating.

A related report by Ynet News stated that during a closed-door session of the Israeli Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee last week, officials named Indonesia, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan as potential contributors to the peace mission.

The report added that Indonesia has already offered to send its troops, while Azerbaijan has expressed readiness to join. However, there has been no official confirmation or public statement regarding Pakistan’s involvement so far.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar said yesterday that the Foreign Office will respond regarding any decision about the deployment of Pakistani forces to Gaza.
