Is Canada slowly closing its door on immigration for mature persons, who are older than 40+ years of age?

Well, we rather decided to provide you with a list of some major developments in the Canadian immigration landscape that happened since November of last year (2023):

The province of Ontario completely (!!) closed all business immigration streams. Which means, no matter how much money you have or what a bright businessperson you are – you cannot immigrate to Ontario, like Toronto or the GTA, anymore. The opportunity is gone.
The provincial business immigration stream in British Columbia – Regional Pilot – is closing on March 31 this year.
Waiting times for Start-Up Visa(s) increased to over four years.
The newly introduced program for immigration as investor to Quebec, where you need $2 Million, didn’t meet expectations.
The list of nations who didn’t need any visa to Canada shrank; take Mexican nationals as example who need visas from now on.
The cap on the number of foreign students got introduced with 35% reduction in their numbers.
Minimum amount of cash needed to apply for study permits jumped more than two times, to over $20,000 CAD.
Express Entry minimum scores for immigration are well exceeding 500+ (while you would probably score around 360 – 390 in most cases), thus, making it virtually impossible to immigrate through this stream for those without Canadian degrees or history of full-time Canadian employment.
…and the list goes on.
