Sigh of relief as gradual electricity resumption underway across country
ISLAMABAD (a1tv News)Electricity started resuming in various parts of the country after almost 12 hours giving a sigh of relief to people distressed by power outage.
National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) reported that power had been resumed at Kala Shah Kaku, Sheikhupura, and Narang Mandi grid stations. “Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has resumed electricity supply to NTD 220KV stations at Band road, Ghazi road, New Kot Lakhpat, and Old Kot Lakhpat. However, 132KV grid stations will be resumed phase-wise.
Sources said that electricity had also been restored at 90 feeders of the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) region. Areas linked to Guddu power plant have gone bright.
As for Multan Electric Supply Company (MEPCO), the electricity has been resumed at 132KV Jampur, DG Khan 1, Dajal Pur, and Sanjar Pur grid stations. MEPCO told that power had been resumed in flood-stricken areas.
Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) told that the restoration of 220KV line at Sibbi has brought power back to SIbbi, and Quetta would be provided electricity through 132KV Sibbi transmission line. Other areas of Balochistan including Dera Murad Jamali, Bhag, Jhal Magsi, Sui, Sohbat Pur, Dhadar, Mach, and Darwaza are also being supplied with electricity now.
Earlier, Minister for Energy Khurram Dastagir had said that the electricity in the country would be fully restored by 10pm tonight.
