After a rough start to the week with snow and freezing rain, Environment Canada is forecasting another dump of snow to hit Toronto this week.
Monday’s snowfall began at night with total snow pileup of 5 to 10 centimetres. Various airlines cancelled flights from Toronto Pearson Airport as well as Billy Bishop Airport.
The Ontario Provincial Police said there were close to 150 crashes in the GTA since 2 p.m. on Monday. Roads have cleared up since, the OPP said, but some may still be wet and drivers are advised to be careful.
The agency ended Monday’s winter weather travel advisory on Tuesday morning.
